God's Manner of Love!
There
is no greater love than the love of God that God has for you and
me. There is nothing you can to do make God love you more! There
is nothing you can do to make God love you less! His love is
Unconditional, Impartial, Everlasting, Infinite, Perfect!
- 1 John
3:1-3 (KJV) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath
bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:
therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear
what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we
shall be like him; for we shall see Him as He is.
I. BEHOLD:
A. We are called children of God.
1. No greater title than to be called His child.
2. When the enemy tries to discourage me I just remind him
who I am.
II. WHEN: Now we are the children of God.
- John 1:12 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave
he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on
his name:
III. The world does not know us but He knows us the world does
not because they do not know Jesus.
A. God know everything about us and even the hairs of our head are known
to Him.
IV. The best is yet to come.
A. We are going to be like Him ...we know that, when he shall appear, we
shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
V. He shed His love in our hearts.
- Romans 5:5 ...because the love of God is shed abroad in our
hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
A. It is how we can love others and love and serve the Lord.
1. The belief that Jesus Christ will return to earth someday
is held by 62 percent of all Americans
B. Whoever loves much, does much.
1. It is natural to love them that love us, but it is
supernatural to love them that hate us.
He prayeth best who loveth best
All things both great and small;
For the dear God who loveth us,
He made and loveth all.
On the whole, God's love for us is a much safer subject to think
about than our love for Him.
