HOW MUCH PRAISE SHOULD WE OFFER DAILY!
Let us
look at the life of King David for an example and I believe we
can get an ideal.
I. As a youth after defeating the lion, the bear and even the
giant he said there words,
Psalm 55:17 (KJV) Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I
pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
A Jewish Law makes it duty to pray three times daily: in the
morning, in the afternoon and at nightfall.
II. Then David in his mid-life or middle age had experienced the
judgement of God and His mercy and forgiveness said this in
Psalm 119: (KJV)
Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous
judgments.
A. Seven times a day do I praise thee - We have often seen that seven is
a number expressing perfection, completion, etc. it means that
his soul was filled with the spirit of gratitude and praise.
III. Finally in old age David learned of the faithfulness of God
and he said these words in Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at
all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
A. AT ALL TIMES.
1. LIVING AND WALKING WITH THE LORD.
2. Walking with God brings knowledge of Him and the more we
know Him the more we will love Him and the more we love Him the
more we will praise Him. Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall
find rest unto your souls.
3. LETS JUST PRAISE THE LORD! Try singing the chorus.
HOW MUCH PRAISE SHOULD WE OFFER DAILY!
God bless you and
yours.
