WE WOULD SEE JESUS!
Jesus is our perfect example. There are many heroes in this world but no
one like Him. He conquered hell, death and the grave. In this sermon
outline we point out what people saw when they saw Jesus. Remember His
words, “Behold my hands and my feet” and they then where filled with
joy. We want to look to Jesus as He is the author and finisher of our
faith.I. It is
worth the effort to see Jesus.
- Luke 19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the
press, because he was little of stature.
A. Zacchaeus climbed a tree to see Jesus and if let to salvation to his
home.
B. The devil want to hinder us coming to Jesus but James told us how to
overcome. James 4:7 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the
devil, and he will flee from you.
C. About the only thing that comes to us without effort is old age.
II. Seeing Jesus took
away fear in the night season.
- John 6:19 So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty
furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the
ship: and they were afraid.
A. Jesus is always there and especially during the storms of our lives.
B. Sometimes the Lord calms the storm. Sometimes he lets the storm rage
and calms his child.
III. When we seek
Jesus we shall find Him
John 12:21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of
Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
IV. When we seek and
when we see Him we see Him crowned with Glory and Honor.
- Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the
angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that
he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
V. JESUS IS ALIVE!
- Revelation 1:17 (KJV) And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead.
And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the
first and the last:
A. 3 things happened when he saw Jesus.
1. John saw Jesus.
a. The day I saw Jesus in vision standing beside
Kathryn Kuhlman I ran forward and fell on my knees, repenting and
calling on His Name and receiving Him as my personal savior.
2. John fell at Jesus feet.
a. By faith I fell on my knee, I was dead in my
sins but rose a new person. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any
man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.
b. Praying in spirit for 6-8 hours on my knees
shortly after I was called by the Lord, I, by faith saw His feet and He
spoke to my heart that if I wanted to be a good and faithful servant
then I needed to follow where His feet led me all the days of my life.
3. Laid His hand on John.
a. Praying for the Will of God for my life in
1962 I felt Jesus walk in to my room while on my knees and felt His hand
on my shoulder.
b. Let us remember this promise and we will never
be defeated. Matthew 28:20 (KJV) Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto
the end of the world. Amen.
God bless you and yours!
